BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a 'smugglers' haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop and two pubs which serve food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket, restaurants etc as well as offering boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle & Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

The Property: Shell Seekers

Something a bit special! Shellseekers is a spacious, detached property, situated close to Beadnell's pretty harbour and sandy beach and enjoying uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea. The accommodation is 'upside down' to take advantage of the magnificent views and has huge first floor balconies to front and rear to ensure all day sunshine. Inside, the property is furnished and equipped to very high standard ensuring a very comfortable stay. With the soft sandy beaches and endless, undulating sand dunes of Beadnell Bay just a stone's throw away, this is a perfect holiday retreat. The market town of Alnwick and its famous Garden (Alnwick Garden) is a short drive away. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

The property was in an excellent location for relaxing. The view from the lounge window changed minute by minute as the tide ebbed & flowed & sea-birds of all descriptions flew by - just indescribable. We would definitely visit again.
